Ladies, Young Shots, Sharp Shots
For many people, the hardest thing in shooting is getting started. This is especially true for younger shooters. Accordingly, WLSS has created a course to accommodate those who have little or no previous experience or are just keen to improve.
Purdey Ladies Course
NEW FORMAT!
We have redesigned the Purdey Ladies Course to fit in with ladies hectic lifestyles. The main focus is to help you enjoy a new sport and make you competent in the field.
To become part of this exclusive group, all you need to do is come in for 3 lessons with one of our experienced instructors on a weekday from 1st March to 1st July (subject to availability). On completing the third lesson, you will be awarded the Purdey Ladies Shooting brooch. All Purdey Ladies are then invited to join us for a friendly competition followed by a champagne and canapé reception on Tuesday 6th July 2010. Prizes will include a fine Ladies Shooting Suit from Purdey for the winner who will be invited along with the three runners-up on a Game Flyer Day. Nobody need leave empty handed - everybody attending the final day will be offered a 15% discount on everything (excluding guns and ammunition) in our Gun Room Shop during the day.
Price: £265 per person
Dates for 2010: 1st March to 1st July - please call to book. Final - Tuesday 6th July.
Purdey Young Shots
We have been running our Young shots courses at both our grounds for some time and they are as popular as ever. They provide the perfect introduction into shooting for a novice whilst offering the ideal way of teaching a youngster who already shoots. Be it a young boy or girl, the Young shots courses will not only enjoy their day but learn from it.
A day long course run during the holidays and half terms – all year round – it provides a fantastic introduction to all forms of shooting (shotgun, rifle and air-rifle) whilst ensuring the rules of safety and etiquette are taught and understood.
Price: £120 per person

West London: Tuesday 30th March, Tuesday 13th July, Tuesday 26th October & Tuesday 21st December.
West Oxfordshire: Monday 29th March & Monday 12th July
Stanbury Sharp Shots
A half-day course for anybody who has completed a Purdey Young Shots course. It focuses on all aspects of shooting and progresses ones technical and safety skills. The course starts at 9:30am and finishes with a light lunch at 1:00pm. At the end of the day everybody receives either a unique Bronze, Silver or Gold Stanbury Badge according to the level of skill and safety achieved.
Price: £95 per person
Dates for 2010: Wednesday 31st March, Wednesday 14th July, Wednesday 27th October & Wednesday 22nd December.
