We currently have a 100m rifle range here at the West London with a calibre limit of .577 Nitro, so no matter whether you have a stalking rifle or are off to Africa we are able to accommodate you.
The range has a covered shooting position where you may shoot from standing, seated or prone positions. We also have a simulated high seat for practice.
All of our instructors here are well versed in rifle shooting but we are lucky to have Paul Gendall as our Rifle Specialist. Paul was previously employed by the Crown Estate as Deer Manager and has long experience both on the technical aspects of rifle shooting as well as deer management and stalking.
There are two main options to use our range, the first is a zeroing session. This is usually used to set up new rifles or to test new ammunition or simply to check your zero prior to a stalking or hunting trip. The second is to have a lesson with one of our instructors. This can be used to try new shooting positions you are not confident in, discuss any issues with your current rifle set up or if you require help setting up a new one.
We are very excited to announce that as of Autumn 2017 we will have redeveloped our rifle range here at the West London Shooting School. We will soon have a 4 lane 100m range with running boar set up, together with an adjacent 200m lane. This will be a first for the London area and we feel that this recreates the thrill and challenge of shooting driven boar as realistically as possible. We will also be improving the shooting areas so they are padded for prone shooting and fully covered.
We are confident that the West London Shooting School will become the leading rifle range and supplier with our new development and increased offerings from the West London Gun Room.
Further information will be forthcoming shortly on this exciting development.
